ransport Administrator will work successfully to ensure an effective and efficient transport function; this will fulfil the requirements of all customers and will do so in a cost-effective manner, ensuring that all administrative processes are complete accurately.
Key Accountabilities
- Administrative support to the Operations Manager
- Follow transport office administration procedures at all times
- Keep Line Manager informed of any irregularities
- Ensure that all transport queries are handled in an efficient and consistent manner, in accordance with customer requirements.
- Undertake routing of local delivery fleet
- Liaise with customers, driver and other departments
- Supporting the wider team
- Filing, Photocopying, Scanning
- To ensure that all activities are undertaken in accordance with current legislation, Company policies and procedures and best practice.

- Proficient working knowledge of MS Office Word/Excel/Outlook
- Demonstrate proven administrative experience
- Experience of working within a transport office environment
- Good local and national geographical knowledge
- Experience of routing desirable but not essential
- Organised with a methodical approach to tasks
- Ability to consistently follow set company procedures
- Confident telephone manner
- Effective communicator oral and written
- The ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines
- Able to work from own initiative and also as part of a team
- Motivated, Proactive and reliable
