Meeting & Events Host - Clayton Hotel Cambridge

Due to an internal promotion we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Individual to join our Sales & Marketing team as a Meeting and Events Host.

Objective of the Role


Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing the Meeting & Events Host will an individual who loves to be visible to guests at all times, understands guests needs and drives sales through repeat bookings.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • To offer the highest level of guest service in all Meeting & Events areas, ensuring the agreed standards are achieved at all times.
  • To work as part of the team, being aware of colleagues and their needs, and being flexible with working hours.
  • To promote sales within the department and across the hotel.
  • To be available to all meeting and events guests to ensure the highest levels of service at all times are achieved.
  • To ensure that the M&E areas have safe working practices and that all spillages etc are tended to without delay.
  • To ensure that you have an indepth knowledge of your departments standard operating procedures, particularly room set ups.
  • To proactively generate meeting and events enquiries for the team.
  • To give input on activity and new ideas to generate revenue to the quarterly and annual sales and marketing plan
  • To drive repeat bookings through exceptional customer service

Requirements:


  • Experience working with customers
  • An excellent command of the English language
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Experience working in a fastpaced environment
  • Be a strong team player
  • Understanding of hotel sales
  • Strong selling and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of creativity.
