We are looking to appoint a well organised, highly motivated and enthusiastic individual in the role of Team Administrator for 30 hours per week (working pattern to be agreed) fixed term to , to support our Offending Behaviour Intervention Service (OBIS) which is a small, friendly team that sits within the wider Specialist Learning Disability Service.


All OBIS service users are at risk of, or have offended, and receive support to keep themselves and others safe.

The post-holder will be exposed to difficult and sensitive material about offences, which maybe distressing.

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential.

The post holder acts as a focal communication point for the team, dealing with queries from colleagues, stakeholders, service users and carers.


We are seeking an individual who is positive, compassionate, flexible and creative in their approach, who can work alongside team members to provide high quality and effective administrative support as required.


The post holder will demonstrate an enthusiasm for professional development and will be motivated to further themselves, by gaining understanding and skills through various training opportunities.

The Learning Disabilities Team is a welcoming and supportive team. The post holder will benefit from a comprehensive supervision and appraisal system, with a commitment to staff development.

The post holder will be based at Bowlers Green, Radlett.

To provide comprehensive, professional, effective Administrative support to clinical colleagues in our Offending Behaviour Intervention Services (OBIS) Team.


The post holder is the first point of reference and as such must display a considerable degree of initiative, possess mature judgement and maintain a calm, friendly and efficient manner when dealing with service users, their relatives, colleagues and visitors.

They will need to have the ability to deal with upsetting information discussed verbally or detailed in reports needed to be typed, e.g.

sexual and violent offences, etc. There may be a requirement to impart information to service users that they may find upsetting e.g.

cancelling appointments and there will also be a need to be able to personally manage the effect of upsetting information given by service users or people in a distressed or challenging state, within the supportive environment of the OBIS team.
