Please note this role is for experience baristas only.
We are looking for an experienced Baritsa to join our team in our lovely park cafe with a charitable focus.
As a member of a community café team, you'll be serving expertly crafted coffee and other locally sourced produce but at the Pavilion, there's more to the role than that.
You'll deliver a coffee shop experience that is full of warmth, charm and community spirit. The kind of experience that will make your customers smile and keep coming back.You will be required to:
- Have experience of all aspects of working in a busy independent cafe
- Be available to work weekend and be flexible to cover staff sickness and holidays
- Maintain standards of health and safety and cleanliness of across the café in line with cleaning schedules and Covid19 procedures
- Be friendly and approachable with a positive and cando attitude
- Be punctual, reliable, honest and have attention to detail
- To work unsupervised and deliver quality work
- Be an excellent team player
- Create a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely and respectful training to café volunteers
- To build a positive and pleasant relationship with customers and charity staff
- Providing a pleasant and friendly service to our customers, charity volunteers and staff
- Follow opening and closing procedures
- Maintain café cleanliness according to schedules
- Prepare food (sandwiches) and drinks
- Support café volunteers and lead shifts where necessary
- Receive and process customer orders and payment on the cash register using card terminal and cash handling
- Replenish and appropriately display food and drink
- General cleaning duties
- Support café staff to open and close the café
You will be expected to work at least 3 days (but the person whose post we are trying to fill works 4 days a week) on a rota based system.
We do our rota 4 weeks in advance and do the weekend shifts on a rotating basis to give each other a bit of a break and plan ahead.
Job Types:

Part-time hours: 25-30 per week
Salary:
£11.50 per hour
