Description
Our client is a City of London law firm with a headcount of 750 staff in offices across Europe.

They specialise in many areas of law including Commercial, IP & Technology, Tax, Corporate Finance & M&A, Employment and Real Estate amongst others.


The appointed Assistant Management Accountant will work in the Management Information & Reporting division of the Central Finance Team, who are responsible for reporting the firm's results, including statutory and management accounts, budgets, forecasts,key performance indicators and performance reporting.

This role is best suited to a part qualified Accountant seeking to gain broad experience of both Management and Financial Accounting and is key to providing support to the MI&R team.


Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Management Accountant with the production of month end financial reporting.
  • Calculation and posting of prepayments.
  • Calculation and posting of monthly accruals.
  • Preparation and posting of other month end journals.
  • Assisting with the maintenance of the fixed asset register and accounting for depreciation.
  • Assisting with the monthly review of General Ledger postings.
  • Maintaining headcount records with monthly reconciliation.
  • Assisting with monthly departmental cost analysis reporting.
  • Assisting with the annual budgeting and forecast process.
  • Assisting the Financial Analyst with the production of reports.
  • Assisting with key projects as required.
  • Part qualified ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • Advanced excel skills, knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proactive and able to use own initiative.
  • A good team player with the ability to work autonomously as required.
  • Experience of Aderant an advantage.
  • Confidential with sensitive information.
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask.
