Head of Marketing

Our sister company, CV Villas are looking for a Senior Marketing professional to lead their Marketing team.

CV Villas were the first specialist villa company in the UK, 50 years later are now famous for their handpicked villas around the world.


Overview


Reporting to the Managing Director, the Head of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing a clearly defined marketing strategy to help drive business growth.

The role will cover the full marketing spectrum, with a focus on digital and performance marketing and the website.


Provide leadership and coordination of company marketing and online functions, whilst continuing to develop the brand, and drive the business forward.


The role is based in Great Suffolk Street, SE1 with a requirement of 3 days in the office per week.


Areas of Responsibility

  • Continuously develop, implement, execute and evaluate the marketing strategy and plan for CV Villas, ensuring that the strategy supports the overall objectives of the business.
  • Develop and drive the digital marketing strategy for the business, with a focus on performance marketing, encompassing paid search, affiliates, display, and native advertising.
  • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring suitable allocation and reconciliation of budgets, against a clearly defined plan and objectives.
  • Develop the SEO strategy for the business, encompassing on page, off page and technical SEO
  • Management of the website, covering the ongoing management of CMS, web developments and the implementation of the SEO and CRO strategy.
  • Form part of the Senior Management team, meeting regularly to explore and develop ideas and opportunities for the business.
  • Work alongside other members of the marketing team to develop CRM, social media and affiliate marketing strategies.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies including digital, traditional (ad hoc), web developers and CRM.
  • Develop and manage a destination marketing strategy, ensuring targeted campaigns are in place for primary, secondary and tertiary destinations
  • To be the final point of signoff for all marketing and online decisions, against the appropriate budgets.
  • To continue to develop the brand positioning and tone of voice, ensuring consistent messaging and creative across all touch points.
  • Develop strong partnerships with internal and other key functional stakeholders across the business and group (i.e., sales, commercial support, product, finance, HR, IT)
  • Work closely with Business Development Manager in supporting, and developing a trade marketing strategy.
  • Manage GA4, whilst developing website and thirdparty integrations to provide the optimal data, to help steer business decisions.
  • Support the marketing manager on the PR strategy, exploring opportunities alongside our media agency, and where relevant, directly with the media.
  • Create, manage, coordinate, and execute all marketing strategies and implement tactical plans that help drive business objectives.
  • Develop brand and value proposition, business partnerships, category management as well as call to action orientated advertising targeted towards key customer segments.
  • Explore new lead generation opportunities, driving enquires and bookings on a cost per enquiry/booking model.

You will have:


Essential

  • Proven experience in progressive travel and tourism marketing roles at senior management level, with proven digital and performance marketing experience
  • Experience of managing digital campaigns both in house, as well as with agencies
  • Outstanding commercial marketing acumen within the travel industry
  • The ability to articulate a vision and strategy in a way that inspires and motivates.
  • The ability to manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding timeframes.
  • Ability to lead, embrace and drive change.
  • Used to working effectively in a fastmoving organisation, achieving objectives through personal leadership.
  • University degree or equivalent
