Senior Marketing Executive (Conference and Events):

Salary - Grade 6 - £29,762 - £35,308 p.a.

The Conference and Events function plays a significant role in supporting the University's strategic vision and world-class aspiration through its reputation for the successful delivery and professionalism of conferences, events and other services.

The team's income is set to grow significantly from £2million to as much as £4million following industry recovery from the pandemic and investment in facilities both on and off campus.


This exciting role will be required to work within the Facilities Directorate and specifically provide marketing and PR support for Conference and Events (MEETinLEEDS).

MEETinLEEDS' income is set to grow significantly from £2million to as much as £4million following industry recovery from the pandemic and investment in facilities both on and off campus, including a new city centre venue set to launch in spring 2023.

This role is key to supporting this by driving enquiries and increasing MEETinLEEDS profile, both internally and externally to the University.


Working with both the Head of Conference and Events and the Assistant Heads of Conference and Events, this role will lead on the production of a comprehensive pro-active marketing plan for all areas across MEETinLEEDS.

In addition, the role contributes to the wider marketing programme for the service, evaluating the impact of activities undertaken and contributing to the general operation of the service and more widely the Facilities Directorate.


You will have experience working in marketing within a B2B environment, with experience of managing marketing campaigns that deliver tangible results.

You will also have experience in copywriting and conducting comprehensive market research.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to positively influence others and develop effective working relationships.


This role is required for 35 hours each week and as part of this role, you may be required to work occasional weekends and/or during an evening to support with events.
