Salary:
£13.50phplus Veolia benefits


Hours:40 hours per week

7:00 to 18:00 with 1 hr for lunch, 8 on 6 off shift pattern


We are looking for a Machine Operator to join the team at our compost site which is nestled in a pretty wooded area in Herriard, Basingstoke.

The site handles 100,000 tonnes of green waste and produces 45,000 tonnes of quality compost.


What will you be doing?

  • Processing and monitoring the condition of the green waste
  • Using the site machinery in a safe competent manner including a loading shovel
  • Keeping the site in a reasonably clean and tidy condition
  • Providing relief cover for the weighbridge as and when required.
  • Undertaking basic repair and maintenance duties

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience within a similar plant operations environment
  • Work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Loading Shovel licence would be advantageous
