Overview:
To support external customers throughout the EMEA region, delivering high-quality, relevant and engaging training sessions on a variety of digital library products.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Prepare, update and maintain high quality and engaging training materials, in various formats, for use in inperson or online training. Materials should be developed using insights gained through customer interaction.
- Plan and prepare tailored training sessions for a range of external customers including academic, nonacademic libraries, agents or users.
- Deliver the training online or in person to the highest standard. Some demonstrations or training at conferences may be required.
- Record customer training session data in the CRM system.
- Manage a training evaluation scheme to gather feedback from participants and use both to develop training delivery / materials and to share product feedback internally to interested groups.
- Provide regular reporting on training sessions and the outcomes of evaluation.
- Maintain a deep understanding of SAGE's digital library products and the library industry in general, to be able to expertly support or advise external customers as required.
- Work with library consortia, each Sales Manager, Account Management and Marketing teams, as appropriate, to identify training opportunities to maximise customer engagement and drive usage of SAGE's products.
Qualifications & Education:
- Educated to degree level or 'A' level with relevant business experience.
- Extensive and demonstrable experience in effective training development and delivery (ideally customerfacing).
- Experience in the publishing industry or within academia would be an advantage.
- Proficient in PC environment working knowledge Microsoft Office packages and WebEx or comparable system.
- Familiarity and comfort in working with instructional technology.
