A summary of the key elements of the role include:
- Attend client sites to carry out comprehensive, non-intrusive Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs).
- Attend clients' sites to carry out other fire safety related surveys (e.g., Fire Door Surveys).
- Produce FRAs and Fire Door Survey reports using RiskBase software
- Liaise with Head Office client account team on pre
- Respond to fire safety queries raised by clients in response to their FRA or other reports, detailing the reference sources used (e.g., guides) where necessary.
- Contribute and or/lead on specific client projects, including plans consultations, policy/ procedure audits and other services provided.
- Deliver fire safety training for clients if required.
- Peer review FRAs and other fire safety reports produced by colleagues.
- Liaise directly with relevant assessor to troubleshoot any queries on individual FRAs or fire safety reports.
- Contribute to various fire safety matters and technical updates, which may be used to influence the company's viewpoint, policy, approach and/or advice to clients.
- When required assist in creating new report questionnaires and templates used to deliver client work, including contributing to building the library of Action Templates and Control Measures.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings and participate in knowledge sharing with colleagues.
- Maintain own CPD by attending relevant workshops, seminars, and industry events.
Requirements for the job:
You must as a minimum hold graduate status of the Institute of Fire Engineers (GIFireE) or equivalent with FPA or IFSM and be competent in assessing complex buildings.
You must have sound knowledge of:
- the principles of fire safety and associated legislation
- BS5839: Part 1 and Part
- Building regulations (Approved Document B and BS9999)
- DCLG guides
- CDM principles
- FPA European Certificate in Fire Safety
- FPA European Diploma in Fire Prevention
- FPA European Advanced Diploma in Fire Prevention
- FPA Advanced Fire Safety Management Course
Salary:
From £35,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
