Netley based covering countywide


Salary:
Scale 6, £28,530 - £30,375 per annum


Contract:
Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week


Closing date:
Sunday 26th March 2023 at 23.59 hours


Job Purpose:


Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • To recommend and gain approval for Positive Action for all under-represented groups
  • To co-ordinate the implementation of the Force Diverse Recruitment, Retention and Progression plan
  • To demystify and market appropriate roles proactively within the community
  • To support Positive Action initiatives across the Force by running an ongoing events program and working with the Community Cohesion Officers to promote initiatives within the community
  • To provide expert support and guidance for positive action initiatives to individuals, Areas and Departments
  • To support internal and external recruiting events, fairs and presentations

Essential Qualifications:

Educated to QCF Level passes) OR work experience deemed to have brought the postholder to a comparable level.


Essential Experience:

An extensive knowledge of equality legislation. Experience of working with minority or faith groups. Evidence of partnership and multi-agency work. Evidence of managing long term engagement and problem solving activity
