Description
Associate Artist - Freelance role
Grimm & Co is committed to growing the diversity of the organisation, and particularly welcomes applications from underrepresented voices including, but not limited to, D/deaf or disabled people and the global majority.
The role in brief:
Grimm & Co is a Yorkshire charity, based in Rotherham, that supports children and young people to make meaning of the world around them and build a positive narrative for themselves within it through the joyful discovery of stories.
Our Emporium of Stories is an enchanting story destination with a Book Nook, Apothecary to the Magical shop, Feastery cafe (serving story-themed food and drink) and secret doors that hide beanstalks and writing/theatre spaces, where imagination is ignited for children and young people to bring stories to life.
Associate Artists play a huge role in delivering our arts-based, creative sessions to children and young people on-site at Grimm & Co, in schools and around Yorkshire and in the form of festivals and outreach events. We are looking for creative practitioners based in the north of England, whose breadth of expertise contributes to our programme delivery and enhances the work that we do.
Please note, as well as hoping to recruit established artists across the county, we're keen to work with emerging artists too. Grimm & Co provide a programme of training and support to all successful applicants.
Grimm & Co works with dozens of artists. In the past year we have worked with many amazing musicians, actors, poets, filmmakers, illustrators, animators and many more. We welcome applications from artists across a range of fields, including:
