The Role Responsibilities

Strategy

  • To write and deliver the strategic direction for Credit Algorithmic trading
  • To grow volumes in a sustainable and profitable manner.
  • To maximise total product income by ensuring effective end to end client identification and risk management.
  • To develop relationships with our vendor providers to ensure quality of service and value for money.
  • To work with Sales, E-Sales, etrading, Research, Capital Markets, Technology and Syndication to execute initiatives that enhance and grow our frontofshop offering.
  • To work in collaboration with Finance, Settlements, technology to ensure that etrading is managed on a cost efficient basis.
  • Help deliver the strategic direction and performance of Credit Algorithmic trading by working with Global Head, Credit E-Trading
  • Work with Sales, eSales, eTrading, Research, Capital Markets, Technology and Syndication to execute initiatives to grow Credit Algorithmic and the broader Global Credit franchise
  • Work with the Global Head of Credit Etrading to write and deliver the strategic direction for Credit Algorithmic. This will include working with the infrastructure and teams to build the tools necessary to model and execute and hedge portfolio trades using a range of financial tools including CDS and ETFs.
  • With the right technological and infrastructure knowledge, build the end to end workflow for the Credit Algorithmic business. With the right infrastructure, grow the Credit Algorithmic business.
  • Trader to interact more with clients, to pitch the trade ideas and have the ability to execute
  • Awareness and understanding of the strategy and business model of the Group and Global Credit, as appropriate to the role
  • Maximise total product income by ensuring effective end to end client identification, risk management, service and infrastructure
  • Work in conjunction with other partners to ensure SCB has a bestinclass offering for the Credit Algorithmic trading within the EM credit asset class.

Business

  • Achieving assigned full year objectives as per annual P3 document
  • Increase SCB's visibility by driving commercial, competitive pricing of credit trading for our clients
  • Accountable for setting achievable performance targets relating to business
  • Help manage the implementation of flow credit trading specific strategies and ensure that performance objectives and revenue goals are met and RWA targets managed
  • Active performance monitoring — spot areas of underperformance and take corrective action

Processes

  • Ensure adherence to all internal and external regulations.
  • To embed Operational Risk monitoring as an integral part of the business process. Towards this, to effectively carry out the assigned role, if any, under Compliance Risk Management and Operational Risk Management Assurance.
  • Ensure that the business meets its obligations the prevention of money laundering under the Group Policy and Standards and under local laws and regulations.
  • Help ensure that there are appropriate and documented internal controls and procedures in place. Help monitor the operation of such procedures and controls and regularly review them to ensure that they reflect any changes in products, systems, policy and regulations
  • Accountable for helping establish and maintain frameworks to ensure flow trading, especially MENA, CIS & SSA, processes are efficient, appropriate and compliant with all internal and external regulations.

People & Talent

  • Build a transparent and collaborative culture in which incentives are based on support of Client Income with specific performance metrics on the Bank's values.
  • To work in partnership with Credit Flow teams across ASIA, LATAM and EMEA to ensure that the flow trading product is value additive for clients and the bank

Risk Management

  • Responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Group. Also, an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group and the role the individual plays in managing them
  • Embed operational risk management and reporting as an integral part of the business process.
  • Ensure that adequate and appropriate systems and controls are in place to comply with Group and Business policies, procedures, standards and codes.
  • Monitor all major risk issues and concentrations. Where appropriate, direct remedial action and/or ensure adequate reporting to Risk Committees

  • Promote an environment where compliance with internal control functions and the external regulatory framework is a central priority of the business
