Description

One of the North West's leading Legal practices is seeking to add a Law Costs Draftsperson to their team
The firm specialises in Personal Injury, Defamation, Clinical Negligence, Professional Negligence, and Abuse, therefore this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a great team within a Liverpool Institution

Duties in this role include, but are not limited to:

Drafting bills of costs (using CostsMaster drafting software)
Providing dedicated costs support to colleagues, both within the Department and the legal business
Working closely with colleagues and Department Manager within a team environment to ensure drafting expectations are achieved
Maintaining awareness of claim lifecycles and ensuring that service delivery is maintained
Ensuring colleague/management expectations and outcomes are met in a timely fashion
Identifying and adhering to department/group objectives
Showing initiative with ability to work within a team environment but autonomously (managing own caseload) and the capability to deal with complex matters
Liaising with colleagues to maintain departmental working practices and procedures
Understanding legal processes and documentation including internal case management system
Being passionate and enthusiastic about our work
Thinking independently and taking ownership of work
Being agile/responsive to work and adapting to change and evolution within the business
Degree level/Qualified Costs Lawyer (desirable)
Minimum 1 years' experience in a Bill Drafting role
Proficient in using CostsMaster drafting software to draft bills
Excellent communication, organisation and research skills
Good understanding of the CPR, relevant legislation, case law and costs industry regulations
Experience of using Proclaim case management system (desirable)
