BRC are working with a reputable Housing Association in Hampshire to recruit a permanent Surveyor to be responsible for the delivery of planned works maintenance including bathrooms, kitchens and roofs, as well as managing some minor responsive repairs.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the delivery of annual programme of planned investment, cyclical redecoration and major works as well as responsive, voids and grounds maintenance
  • Leading on the planned works, managing kitchen and bathroom refurbishments as well as roofing and general grounds maintenance
  • Managing some responsive repairs as raised by customers and handling minor repair requests
  • Produce specifications and schedules of works whilst overseeing works carried out by contractors
  • Ensure that all projects are undertaken in a safe and CDM compliant manner
  • Liaise and work closely with design consultants, managing agents and local authorities
  • Provide technical maintenance advice to support business decisions, including liaising with operations managers, supervisors, trade staff, subcontractors, external contractors or consultants.
  • Investigate and respond to building defects to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained
  • Attend meetings and contribute to performance reports
  • Deliver a high standard of customer care and customer service, answering any enquiries

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in planned maintenance or repairs surveying
  • HND / HNC level in Building Surveying or equivalent construction related qualification (desirable)
  • Good understanding and knowledge of utilising IT software including Microsoft Office
  • A driver with access to own vehicle
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations and health and safety
