    Job Title: Finance Assistant (Service) Apprentice

    Nordex UK and Ireland is excited to recruit a Finance Assistant (Service) Apprentice to join our team based at our Head Office in Didsbury, Manchester.

    About the Role

    The Nordex Apprenticeship programme provides our apprentices with a supportive environment to learn the practical elements of working within our service finance team, while working towards a recognised qualification.

    The service finance team is responsible for supporting the financial operations, planning, and analysis for our service wind farms across the UK and Ireland. During your apprenticeship, you will be working alongside our experienced team who will support you on your apprenticeship journey.

    You will be working towards a Business Administration qualification with a strong focus on financial operations during your 2-year apprenticeship at Nordex.

    Requirements

    1. You must hold 5 GCSEs or equivalent at level 4 or above, including Mathematics and English.
    2. You should have an interest in starting a career in finance.
    3. You should possess a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop your skills.
    4. You should enjoy problem solving and the buzz of supporting the team that keeps our wind turbines turning and generating renewable energy for the nation.

    5. Time Off: You will receive 33 days holiday, including bank holidays, plus an additional day off for your birthday. There is also the opportunity to buy up to 5 days of additional leave at the start of every year.
    6. Health & Wellbeing: We offer a number of Health & Wellbeing initiatives including Employee Assistance Programmes, Bike to Work scheme, Paid Eye Tests, and Flu jabs.
    7. Volunteering: Our employees can take 2 days per year to support volunteering activities in the local areas.

    Our Recruitment Process

    2. We need to receive your application by Wednesday 19th March 2025, however, please be aware that we may close our application process if we receive an overwhelming response.
    3. Stage 2: We will review each application we receive and will let you know by the end of March if we will be proceeding with your application.
    4. Stage 3: If your application is successful in reaching stage 3, you will be invited to attend one of our assessment centres. Assessment centres are designed to be fun and to give you an opportunity to show us how amazing you will be as an apprentice at Nordex.
    5. Our assessment centres will take place locally in early April 2025.
    6. Stage 4: Successful candidates will be notified by May 2025.
    7. Stage 5: Successful candidates will have the opportunity to meet their team and find out more about their apprenticeship programme at a Meet the Team session during the summer, and you will also be invited to an Apprentice induction day which will take place in late August.
    8. Stage 6: Your actual start date will depend on when your course starts with the apprentice provider, but it is usually at the beginning of September 2025.

    Meet the Team Sessions

    We will be running a number of online sessions for you to meet the team and find out more about the apprenticeships on offer. To register to join these sessions, click on the link below and we will then send you joining instructions for the session.

    1. Thursday 13th February at 12 pm
    2. Wednesday 19th February at 5 pm
    3. Monday 11th March at 11 am
    4. Friday 14th March at 10 am
