The Role
A job for a Field Service Engineer has become available in the Leicester area.
The Field Service Engineer (FSE) will be responsible for meeting the daily service, maintenance, training, and repair needs of our customer's equipment both in the UK and overseas.
Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers as well as performing in house machine builds where necessary and administrative duties as required.
Essential Job Responsibilities- Basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair on EDM, Laser and STEM equipment, used in the production of cooling holes for Turbine blades etc.
- Completing Preventative Maintenance tasks and provide training courses both onsite and inhouse.
- Carry out Axis alignments to ensure correct operation and functionality of the machines.
- Maintaining tools and test equipment and ensuring they are properly calibrated.
- Meeting Health and Human Services, Environmental Health, and Safety and/or all other applicable regulatory requirements, as required for our various customer sites
- Identifying and participating in sales opportunities such as new contracts, contract renewals and spare parts sales.
- The role is approx. 60% mechanical and 40% electrical biased, with some pneumatics. Ability to read circuit diagrams would be an advantage.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record is required.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment.
- Experience troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns.
- Proficient level of computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues in an easytounderstand manner.
- Ability to align multi axis machines to high tolerances.
- Resourceful, with the ability to work independently.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Decisionmaking, problem resolution and creative thinking skills
- Attention to detail.
