Main purpose of the Job:


  • Provide excellent Monitoring Support to clients in work to ensure they sustain their employment position.
  • Creatively recruit train and retain Job coaches including a bank of casual support staff to work with people with disabilities in a range of roles including inwork support, learning to travel independently and community enrichment activities.
  • Support the Team Senior in growth of business by being proactive in the generation of referrals.
  • Deputise in the absence of the Team Senior on the management of Job Coaches.

1.
Monitoring Support

  • Manage a large caseload of clients in work to ensure client support needs are met.
  • Support and advise clients and employers through sometimes complex employment issues such as, performance management, disciplinary procedures, redundancy situations, redeployment, and possible end of job situations.
  • Negotiating with employers on reasonable adjustments through complex process' and advocating for clients in the workplace
  • Respond in a proactive manner using problem solving skills as issues arise to resolve problems before they escalate.

2.
Recruitment & Training

  • Attract and recruit new staff using a variety of traditional and creative methods including: hosting open evenings, recruitment fairs and social media.
  • Responsible for the casual worker recruitment process, including writing and placing adverts, screening, shortlisting, interviewing with the team senior.
  • Review the recruitment process continually with the team senior to ensure best practice.
  • Responsible for delivering and coordinating Job Coaches Induction and mandatory training to ensure workers meet the requirements of the job and are equipped to provide an excellent level of service.
  • Responsible for delivering job coach training with partner organisations.
  • Commitment to personal development; including attending all mandatory training.

3.
Staff Management

  • Ensure high quality services via observations, spot checks and paperwork audits.
  • Responding to daytoday enquiries and support needs of the job coaching staff
  • Conduct staffs 1:1's, probationary reviews & appraisals.
  • Line management of casual job coaches

4.
Generating Referrals and Securing contracts

  • Generate client referrals through the internal supported employment team.
  • Generate referrals through developing existing relationships with existing employers.

5.
Matching Clients to Casual Workers

  • Agree support plans.
  • Provide person centred approach in matching workers to clients to ensure a positive and trusting relationship is developed.
  • Consider skill set and experience of workers to meet the needs of client and employer.
  • Proactive in covering placements and have back up plan to ensure continuality of support.
  • Be solution focused and identify a path towards practical action and outcomes.

6.
Administration

  • Ensure relevant HR and department specific systems and processes are followed.
  • Ensure all job coach files and records are kept up to date and maintained securely as required by the organisation and within the requirements of GDPR.
  • Ensure reports, paperwork and other correspondence is completed accurately and to deadlines.
7.
Teamwork & Communication

  • Work with the wider Team to support the success of this evolving project.
  • Liaise with colleagues across the department to communicate changes and resolve staffing issues.
  • Attend and participate in any meetings and training events.
  • Provide cover for job coaches and team members as required.

  • Ensure effective remote working, adhering to the relevant guidelines based on lone working, outlook calendar and duty cover.

Salary:
£25,127.00 per year
