MedicAlert is the national emergency medical information charity.

Its service provides peace of mind to people living with complex and serious medical conditions and allergies, by ensuring that their vital medical information is available to medical professionals in an emergency.

MedicAlert is a global brand that is highly regarded and valued, but awareness among potential members is low.

We have an ambition for substantial growth in membership and have established a business infrastructure which is now ready for this.


Main objective


To generate significant growth in new membership through marketing and communications, whilst ensuring high levels of member satisfaction reflected in high renewal rate.


Key Responsibilities

  • Implement the Marketing Strategy and Business Plan.
  • Develop content that engages potential members, including campaigns, case studies, enewsletters, blogs, /social media posts, product launches and printed marketing materials.
  • Manage and develop the website and its content.
  • Identify and exploit PR and communication opportunities to increase awareness of the MedicAlert brand and service.
  • Develop measurement and reporting to monitor the delivery and impact of the business development strategy.
  • Measure the progress of the Marketing Strategy, including the use of data from Google Analytics, social media metrics, member behaviour data and productperformance information.
  • Develop member understanding and interaction to increase recommendations and renewal rates.
  • Manage and nurture existing partnerships with MedicAlert Protection Project funders to ensure continued engagement.
  • Work with healthcare and emergency services to reinforce training and awareness of the MedicAlert brand.
  • Effectively work with third parties including with Google Adwords / SEO agency and web developers.

Qualifications
We are looking for a graduate or relevant equivalent commercial experience.


Essential

  • Digital communication skills including experience of developing and managing websites, content development and digital marketing.
  • Copywriting, editorial and proofreading skills for websites, social media and publications.
  • Experience of measuring success and impact of website, social media and other marketing initiatives.
  • Commercial awareness for business case preparation and monitoring.
  • Problemsolving skills, including the ability to develop pragmatic and defensible solutions to problems and the ability to spot patterns, think logically and persist.
  • Ability to manage dynamic workload and deliver work within prescribed timescales and standards, whilst managing stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working as part of a team and as an individual.
  • Track record of taking ownership, a learning approach and ability to spot opportunities by thinking laterally and being creative.
  • Experience of working effectively with 3rd parties to manage social media, SEO, graphic design and web development.

Desirable experience

  • Adobe Creative Cloud (In-Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Acrobat).
  • Google Suite.
  • Budget management.
  • Experience of leadership skills is valuable but not a requirement.
