Main Purpose and Strategic Aims:
- To drive forward recruitment and marketing targets in relation to organisational commercial objectives
- To drive the commercial and strategic objectives within the organisation within your region
- The organisation and implementation of events to support centre recruitment and learner experience
- Establishing local partnerships and employer relationships to support the ACC group
- Stakeholder engagement to maintain relationships
- Raising brand awareness of all brands within the ACC group
- Promoting the credible, positive and good reputation of the college
- Embedding the college into the heart of the local community
- Research and industry update on all sectors within the ACC group
Recruitment Strategic Objectives:
The role will involve working across a specific region and implementing, monitoring and reviewing the following:
- Manage and deliver agreed student recruitment targets as defined by the executive leadership team
- Research, develop, implement, manage and review all recruitment opportunities
- Plan, implement, manage and review the delivery of an ACC advocacy plan with the recruitment of student ambassadors, alumni and local creative industry patrons
- Plan, implement, manage and review all local lead generation and tracking activity for your region
Marketing Strategic Objectives:
The role will involve working across a specific region and implementing, monitoring and reviewing the following:
- The centre marketing plan as determined by the national marketing team with local input
- Liaise with Heads of Centre and all centre staff on marketing activities
- Act as a feedback conduit for all marketing and recruitment intelligence from centre
- Support all digital marketing activity as requested by the central marketing and recruitment team
Events Strategic Objectives:
The role will involve working across a specific region and implementing, monitoring and reviewing the following strategies:
- Executing a targeted number of events aimed at recruitment and exposure
- Organisation and execution of all open days and taster days
- Organisation, engagement and attendance at a targeted number of schools outreach events
- Implementation of a set number of events to improve learner experience across all sector areas (games, music, computing, media etc)
The role will be governed through the national Marketing and Recruitment Group and based at a regional Access Creative College.
Main Community Contacts:
Secondary schools, academies, 6th forms, colleges, alternative provision, community learning providers, NEET groups, community groups, youth groups, faith groups, referral agencies, music, arts hubs, bridge and STEM organisations, creative industry bodies and organisations, expos and events, festivals, potential students, parents/carers, employers, freelancers, training provider networks, local enterprise partnerships, local education authorities and career services.
Main Task Details:
- Lead and manage the student recruitment strategy for a regional Access Creative College (ACC) following set targets as defined in an applicable campus business plan by working closely with the national marketing and recruitment team, centre manager and central service teams to identify and deploy required resources to ensure key deliverables and KPIs are met.
- Undertake primary and secondary research into relevant regional institutions, organisations and companies (as identified above) that can assist with recruitment to an ACC campus. You will undertake due diligence and provide market intelligence on regional competitor activity.
- Manage and maintain regular and effective communication with regional institutions, organisations and companies, building B2B relationships and maintaining a comprehensive database of all activity.
- Plan, manage, promote and review the delivery of open days, taster sessions, workshops, influencer events, meet and greets, summer socials, peertopeer events, skills events, weekend and summer schools for potential clients, schools, parents/carers and employers within the region. This will include the organisation of events at your campus and involve travel throughout the regional area and report on outcomes from all activities.
- Liaise with the national marketing team for the production of specific regional marketing/promotional materials and be involved in production where required.
- Generation of local good news stories and communication of these for further national promotion.
- Engage in an ongoing dialogue with prospective students, stakeholders and their parents/carers from interest up to enrollment.
- Support all enrolment activities at an ACC campus and manage the process for surveys identifying reasons why learners failed to enrol, informing future recruitment strategies and activities.
ACC Campus Team Support Details:
- Effectively communicate and ensure the achievement of our objectives in relation to the campus business plan and marketing, admissions and recruitment reports in all communications and at team meetings.
- Organise and lead on regular centre commercial and marketing meetings, supported by centre management.
- Monitor, evaluate and advise on the progress and achievement of recruitment KPIs as defined in the campus business plan and monthly recruitment performance meetings.
- Engage with prospective learners at risk of not starting a course, with support from the central marketing and recruitment team.
Skills/Knowledge
- Ability to identify, manage, implement and promote a range of learningbased opportunities to a wide variety of stakeholders
- Ability to implement a regional marketing strategy and all promotional activity
- Ability to communicate professionally with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of equality and diversity practice
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in meeting challenging recruitment targets
- Literacy & Numeracy at Level 2 or above
- Experience in developing B2B working relationships desirable
- Experience in conducting market research and analysis desirable
- Experience in actioning marketing campaigns including implementation of copy and marketing materials for emarketing, social media and street campaigns
- Experience and understanding of equality and diversity strategies and practice in marketing and promoting business/learning opportunities.
Work-Related Circumstances
- Full driving licence

- Willing to work flexibly with terms and conditions including evenings and weekends
- Willing to travel nationally for specific events, support activities or team development
