Role Purpose:
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities of the role:
- Forming an effective link between finance and other business departments
- Assisting the Financial Controller in systems and financial/admin process creation, implementation, review and improvement
- Taking ownership of accuracy and completeness of financial data entry
- Data entry within Salesforce (commercial sales software) for sales invoice creation
- Utilisation of Xero for sales ledger reporting
- Interaction with the Commercial team in relation to resolving invoicing requirements and updates
- General monitoring and tidiness of AR ledgers to include resolution of identified issues
- Providing support to the purchase ledger function when workloads dictate
- Assist as part of the finance team in the preparation of the monthly management accounts
- Assist as part of the finance team with yearend audit and tax work
- Aid in general accounting and reporting
- Ensure and monitor compliance with internal controls
- Assist as part of the finance team in budgeting and forecasting exercises
- Contributing to ad hoc reporting, project work and sales/cost analysis and reviews
Key skills, knowledge, experience required:
(i.e.
those required to fulfil the role, including qualifications):
- Practical experience of Xero accounting software desirable. Experience on additional financial packages is a benefit
- Exposure to multicurrency operating environment desirable
- Minimum of 2 years' experience of working within a Finance department
- Working knowledge of Excel
- Ability to accurately work on own initiative
- Ability to clearly communicate at all levels
- Excellent planning and organisation skills with the ability to deliver on time
- Comfortable working in a small team

Any additional relevant information:
The role holder will be expected to have a flexible approach and be willing to work additional hours sometimes at weekends particularly when year-end accounts are required to be completed.
