Investigo are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a Milton Keynes based high grade manufacturing business who are looking to recruit an Accountant into their team.

Reporting to the Finance Manager and working closely with the Finance Director, the Accountant will be responsible for supporting the Finance Manager in the production of regular financial and management reporting, ensuring high levels of accuracy, qualityand integrity in the recording and reporting of financial data and to produce robust and timely financial information to all stakeholders.

The Accountant role is a broad position with exposure across all areas of finance, and key responsibilities will include:

  • Undertake month end closing activities including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, provisions and prepayment calculations
  • Completion of the monthly management accounts; reviewing variances to budget and prior year as well as providing commentary to the Executive Team
  • Completion of the monthly departmental cost reports; recognising and correcting for reporting errors, analysing variances and undertaking review meetings with Cost Centre Managers to understand variances to budget and challenge any areas of overspend
  • Processing of monthly payroll journals and preparation of monthly payroll reconciliations
  • Assisting in the preparation of employee benefit reporting; P11D, P46 and PSA forms
  • Supporting the Finance Manager during the interim and year end external audits
  • Assisting the Finance Manager in the preparation of the annual statutory accounts
  • Assisting in the preparation of the annual budget and rolling forecasts
  • Management of the fixed asset approval process; ensuring the correct and timely capitalisation of assets and undertaking reviews to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the Fixed Asset Register
  • Assisting in the preparation of information and analysis required for the Corporation Tax Return
  • Preparation and submission of governmental returns; VAT, EC Sales List, Payment Practices and Performance submissions and National Statistics surveys
  • Acting as a point of contact with an overseas Shared Service Centre


Our Client is offering a salary of £40,000 - £50,000 + Benefits and they work a 3/2 Hybrid Working Policy.
