This is an exciting opportunity for the successful post holder to work as an Assistant Psychologist to support the psychological needs of patients with long COVID.

You will work closely alongside other Assistant Psychologists as well as clinical Psychologist colleagues. This role will involve remote working plus some travel to site is required.

The post holder, under the direction of a qualified psychologist will undertake clinically supervised work including individual contacts (testing, triage) and psycho-educational groups.

They will work with relevant MDT professionals to support the assessment and care provision processes, in particular through the psychology support pathway.

They will support the development of the PCASS psychology pathway, using the evidence base and shared learning to support patients living with Post COVID-19 Syndrome.

The service provides equitable access to assessment and support for people experiencing Post COVID-19 Syndrome

This includes:

Multidisciplinary assessment with consideration of physical, cognitive and psychological needs
An enhanced assessment and support offer including supported selfmanagement and care coordination to help patients navigate their recovery journey
Innovative treatment and rehabilitation pathways for patients whose needs fall outside of existing community pathways.
The service continues to evolve in accordance with national guidance and developing understanding of how best to meet the needs of patients with Post COVID19 Syndrome.

a) Under the direction of qualified psychologists, plan, organise and teach psycho-educational interventions, in group or individual format.

b) Under the direction of qualified psychologists, conduct psychological assessments.

c) Provide advice and information (within competencies) to patients, carers and MDT colleagues.

d)To monitor, track and report on patient progress within the psychology pathway.

e) Assist with case management, including patient follow-ups and discharges

f) To provide a patient centred approach to ensure all patients' and carers' views and opinions are considered and everyone is given respect, dignity and understanding.

g) To escalate any issues to the PCASS psychologists or relevant MDT colleague for appropriate action.
