Responsible for delivering training and quality control requirements at London Heathrow Airport Cabin Services.

As a training & Quality Officer you will ensure the station is fully compliant with standards laid down by Menzies Aviation, airline customers, aviation governing bodies and controlling authorities.

Also ensuring all employees training records are correct, valid, and updated in line with both the authority's requirements and statutory regulations, always driving a consistent standard of excellence and quality control across all areas of the operation

  • To deliver all required training to the highest possible standard in line with the Menzies Learning and development policy and ensure records and compliance are kept up to date and accurate.
  • To teach practical skills through demonstration, direction, tutoring and practical exercises.
  • To maintain a close working relationship with all customer airlines and become the first point of reference for any amendments and updates to manuals, policies and procedures ensuring all staff are trained accordingly and remaining always compliant.
  • To assist, report and manage any airline or company trials that maybe required in improving the operation and integrity of our business and customer airlines.
  • To communicate with the Operations Manager or relevant Duty Manager to ensure staff are available for training courses without causing disruption to the safe management of the operation.
  • Gather and process all data and documentation necessary for the fulfilment of the success of the Training Department by manual, automated or computerized systems including report writing (LMS, Scorecard, etc)
  • To be completely flexible in attending any future courses that could be required at any time by both current and future customer airlines to produce training packages.
  • Attend any future courses that will be required at any time by Menzies Aviation to enable them to carry out regulatory and mandatory training on behalf of Menzies Aviation and to be flexible to travel and support when required.
  • To ensure the station is audit compliant and meets all standards. When required, you will assist with internal audits and quality control showcasing the standards trained are always maintained.
  • Any other reasonable duty as requested

  • Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences to their manager who will then follow the procedures according to company's policy.
  • Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific workplace health and safety rules or procedures.
  • Fully understand the company health and safety policy.
  • Attend training courses as may be arranged by the Company.
  • Engage with MORSE and follow our code principles

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possession of a valid Train the Trainer course would be advantageous.
  • Must possess thorough knowledge of DFT regulations, the H & S Act and other compliances required.
  • Must be proactive and forward thinking.
  • Must have excellent time keeping and attendance record.
  • Must be flexible and be able to time manage their working day to ensure effective running of the Training Department.
  • Competent in the full Microsoft Office packages.
  • Aircraft and Airline knowledge specific to the airlines handled at LHR.
  • In possession of a full UK driver's licence
