MYM Recruitment are delighted to be working with our new client who have over 30 years' experience in the highly specialised business of constructing steel framed poultry, dairy and beef units.

They are currently recruiting for an experienced
Welder to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and expanding company.


Key Duties/Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

  • Cutting materials into the required shapes, checking dimensions and thicknesses.
  • Welding or joining metal and other materials into a wide range of structures.
  • Following engineering drawings and instructions.
  • Operating tools and machinery and welding equipment.
  • Inspecting and testing welds with precision measuring instruments.
  • Cleaning tools, equipment, and work areas.
  • Wearing safety clothing and using protective equipment.

Essential Criteria:


  • Previous welding or fabrication experience is necessary.
  • Ability to read drawings.
  • Must have a good understanding of the engineering industry.
  • Previous welding in engineering is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent time and attendance record.
  • Excellent attitude to Health & Safety and Quality standards are essential.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£11.00-£14.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus scheme
  • Commission pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Magherafelt: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Fabrication: 1 year (preferred)
