The Company
Our client is 1 year into their 7-year contract for the repairs, maintenance, void preparation, and substantial programme of projects to a housing stock of 27,000 across the South of the country.
They are a new business, formed to deliver infrastructure, asset and facilities management services into the UK Defence Sector.They are a 50:50 Joint Venture between 2 already established big players in the FM and Utilities markets with over 55 years' experience.
The role
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious Small Works Manager to play a pivotal role as part of the Billable works team in the delivery of the Professional Services Strategy.
With a large focus on Damp and Mould repairs initially as well as general small works and renovations such as kitchens and bathrooms.
Ensuring all procurement activities and contracts are delivered professionally to time, cost & quality requirements. Promoting a 'one team' philosophy to ensure a positive Customer experience.Key Responsibilities
- Manage triage process including arrange surveys and first response works.
- Review survey documentation and plan any additional works, including subcontractor selection and management
- Lead on daytoday project delivery
- Manage team of main contractors to deliver programmes of work.
- Ensure all projects adhere to a formal brief, specifications, procurement plans and tender documents, and are robustly managed, in accordance with the contract.
- Quality checks and project handover
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures and delivery standards for managing the delivery, including compliance with Health and Safety requirements including CDM Regulations and Control of Asbestos Regulations.
Could this be for you?
Have genuine knowledge and understanding of housing maintenance and construction industries and service delivery.
Compliance and HSE Experience.
Confident using Microsoft Offices packages.
Location will be flexible, covering your geographical area, with home working where practical
