This role is to support our after school club from 2.30pm to 6pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, term time only.

Your role will involve working with the afterschool club team on the day-to-day organisation and running of the After School Club at Ascension Community Trust, providing high standards of care and play opportunities for primary school children in a safe and secure environment.

Also, the opportunity to support the summer scheme, leading activities and supporting with trips. These weeks would be additional to your contracted hours.

Daily Tasks

To set up for the session, ensuring that all necessary resources are accessible and available.
To prepare food for the children, following food hygiene practices, meeting dietary requirements and healthy eating principles.
To escort children from school to the afterschool club.
To support with the running of activities, supervising children and supporting with homework where necessary.
At the end of each session to clear and lock away all of the club's equipment, clean the area and leave the building clean and tidy.

Regular Afterschool Club Tasks

In partnership with the afterschool club team:

To support the planning, preparation and delivery of a range of quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment
To provide a service that respects children's life experiences and celebrates diversity in terms of language, culture, race, and religion.
To promote the positive integration of children with disabilities, behavioural difficulties and/or special needs
To follow the organisation and clubs' policies and procedures, including safeguarding.
Administering first aid when necessary.
