We are currently recruiting
Continuous Improvement Coordinator, on a full-time, permanent basis, to join our team in
Bellshill (ML4 3NP).



Working Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm, 37.5 hours per week.

Previous experience in a CI role would be advantageous, particularly in food production and / or manufacturing of food products (bakery or other food factory) is desirable to allow you to carry out your duties.


Responsible for implementing and sustaining a culture of continuous improvement, by driving changes that improve production efficiency, reduce waste and improve product quality.

You will work closely with production staff to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to improve productivity and quality.


What you will be doing:


  • Adheres to all company Policies and Procedures and actively promotes CI activities and services to others.
  • Presents, facilitates, supports and leads assigned LEAN improvement events and activities using methods of cultureappropriate team building, team energizing, training/workshops, data gathering, analysis, problem solving and project coordination / management
  • Conduct root cause analysis to determine metrics, troubleshoot manufacturing and business issues, material flow, project plans, production capacity and create process documentation.
  • Analyses Business Central Data
  • Seeks and evaluates LEAN information, materials, and methods to match specific organizational needs as outlined by management, and adopts them to use in the execution of LEAN improvement events.
  • Uses appropriate measurement, analysis and evaluation methods to accurately identify and document process improvements
  • Develops reports of overall LEAN activities including accomplishments, participation, projected activities, and anticipated needs.
  • Coordinates with related departments and functions to assure appropriate information flow and understanding of overall process improvement direction
  • Prepares purchase information for departmental management review to identify materials and other resources required for effective implementation of LEAN
  • Proactively participate to safety awareness and improvement
  • Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times, both internally and externally. Follow the published processes and comply with all company policies and procedures. Be an ambassador for the businesses in particular ensure that Health & Safety comes first at all times.

    £25,000 £28,000 DOE:

Requirements we need:


  • You will preferably be qualified to HND or equivalent level in an Engineering discipline;
  • Experience within Continuous Improvement management within FMCG manufacturing, preferably within a food environment (desirable).
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing strategies
  • Exposure to and involvement within project management
  • Ability to use your initiative and be a strong decision maker
  • A demonstrable track record of performance delivery through coaching
  • Influence effectively from operative to director level
  • Motivation to inspire team members and peers
