The Manchester College has many Campus locations across Greater Manchester, each with its own specialist cutting-edge facilities within a friendly and supportive environment.

We are the largest Further Education College in the UK providing education and training to a wide range of learners.


We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Site Duty Officer on a permanent, full time (37 hours per week) term time only basis.**As a Site Duty Officer you will be the main centralised contact person at a single campus location and will work in collaboration with premises, reception, student experience and curriculum departments to ensure the safety of students and staff. They will act as the initial point of contact and respond to incidents or issues, and will be an identified safeguarding designated person ensuring prompt and relevant action is taken. The Site Duty Officer will document all actions taken and refer the incident or issue to the relevant College department to ensure an appropriate and effective response.

In order to do this, you will need:
Must be qualified to Level 4

Must have minimum of Level 2 English and Maths, or equivalent

Must have First Aid qualifications (or willingness to work towards)

Must be willing to work towards Safeguarding/Designated Safeguarding Person qualification

Must have Experience of working with young people/adults in an education or similar environment

Must have Experience of managing incidents under pressure

Must have Experience of managing challenging behaviours
