Hybrid - Minimum 2 days in office (at 4th Floor Stopford House / Central House) and maximum 3 days working from home.

Your Role

  • Are you keen to develop and progress a management career in the Work and Skills sector, and making a tangible difference to the local community and economy? Are you excited by the opportunity to both manage and influence the success of a range of projects and stakeholders tasked with delivering positive outcomes for residents? If so, Stockport Council's Work & Skills Coordinator role is the place to start
  • You will both take a lead and influence projects that have been funded in Stockport through funding partners. In particular this will include the management of a team delivering a programme of interventions for young people not in education, employment and training.

  • Skills Required:
  • Strong knowledge of the local Work and Skills ecosystem
  • An understanding and experience of effective strategies for supporting young people that are Not in Education Employment or Training, and achieving positive outcomes
  • Analytical and problem solving ability
  • Interpreting data text and numerical, information gathering and reporting
  • A team player and with equal ability to work and lead effectively on own initiative and without close supervision
  • Leading others, including supervising, supporting and coaching
  • Effective and appropriate communication working with, negotiating and influencing others, including a range of stakeholders
  • Report writing skills
  • Computer literate
  • Drive for results demonstrating clear commitment to achieving results and improving performance
  • Committed to advancing own learning and competencies, a willingness to learn.
