We are seeking an Assistant Planning Officer to join our Strategy and Policy Development (StratPol) Team.

This new role will support the work of the team - primarily the implementation of the University's optimisation and growth plans.

The Strategic Planning team is a relatively new, but high performing and dynamic team within our organization.

With ambitious plans and ideas, the team is focused on driving positive change and supporting the Senior Leadership Team with data-driven insights.

We are looking for an Assistant Planning Officer to join our team, support our initiatives and help the University achieve its strategic objectives.

Our ideal Assistant Planning Officer will be a team player who is keen to be involved in the inner workings of a university and contribute ideas for improvement.

You will be a confident administrator, able to work between diaries to schedule key planning meetings for the Operational Planning Cycle, and to summarise discussions and notes for action for committees like the Senior Leadership Team and Academic Planning Board.

The team is responsible for collating quarterly performance indicators, supporting the Student Number Planning & Tracking process and proposing Undergraduate and Postgraduate fees.

You will be comfortable inputting and checking data spreadsheets and will eventually generate numbers, conduct analysis and present data after training.

You will be organised, able to manage your own time and comfortable communicating with colleagues of all levels.

This role would suit someone who enjoys a fast-paced, varied work environment, and who brings some of the required skill sets or is prepared to develop them quickly.

Queen Margaret University is a great place to work with a very friendly environment and an inspiring purpose.

The post is for 35 hours and 45 minutes per week (1.0FTE). Applications for part-time work (0.8FTE) could be considered.

Interviews will be held week commencing 17 July 202- As a university, we are committed to the _Researcher Development Concordat_ and were, in fact, the first Scottish Higher Education Institute (and part of the first UK cohort of institutes) to publicly declare our commitment to its principles.
