Marshall Skills Academy are growing. Not just within Marshall but also with external customers as well.


We are now looking for a Quality Assurance Lead and this role is unique in that it utilises aviation and training regulatory knowledge and skills to ensure the Marshall Skills Academy has a focus on Continuous Improvement and excellence.


The role combines the possibility for a motivated and professional individual to deliver extraordinary lessons in engineering compliance and regulation training.

Key responsibilities in this role include:

  • The role of Quality Assurance Lead at the Marshall Skills Academy is to ensure that the quality systems within the Academy are audited, and relevant findings accurately captured and reported.
  • The post holder will be an experienced Quality Assurance professional with relevant experience in an aerospace Part 147 and / or Part 145 environment, with experience and relevant qualifications in auditing.
  • The Quality Assurance Lead will manage all requirements and controls for Part 147 certifying staff and applicable support staff individual authorisations.
  • Due the knowledge and skills of the postholder being employed within the Marshall Skills Academy, the Quality Assurance Lead may be asked to deliver lessons around regulatory training, inline with their knowledge and experience where appropriate.
  • Under the direction of the Quality and Compliance Manager, the Quality Assurance Lead will engage with audits conducted within the Marshall Skills Academy to ensure that best practice is reported and celebrated, and audits are aligned and conducted to ensure compliance to multiple Quality Systems are captured and adhered to efficiently.
  • Ensure that the Marshall Skills Academy remains compliant to Part 147 and liaise with CAA surveyor to ensure effective communication and reporting in support of the Quality & Compliance Manager & Head of Capability.
  • Ensuring compliance to Part147; manage repositories and independently collate and analyse data using tools, methods and techniques to produce reports to support the decisionmaking process.
  • Development and delivery of learning solutions both in the classroom and via digital channels, e.g. videos; webinars; and emodules, development and facilitation of self
- directed learning which includes but is not limited to: Coaching, Phone calls and face-to-face Meetings

  • Be acceptable to UK CAA and EASA via the Form 4 process and is expected, as a minimum, to have held an equivalent appropriate position under UK CAA/EASA Part 14
  • On time delivery of the Audit Schedule
  • Developing, compiling and documenting Audit Checklists
  • Writing of Audit Reports
  • Management of Internal Stakeholders to deliver robust corrective actions to findings raised during the audits
  • Shall possess formal qualifications in Management and Quality Auditing.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Applications
  • Knowledge and experience of utilising Root Cause Analysis and Problem-Solving tools
  • Teaching / Training qualification
  • At least 2 years' experience in Part 147 Quality Management.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Airworthiness Regulations (e.g. Part 21G, Part 145 etc)
  • Audit experience
  • Demonstrable knowledge of aircraft systems and aircraft environment
  • Experience of classroom delivery / training delivery
