The role is based in a growing technology team, that have significant investment and modernising the entire technology landscape across the business but also adding value to the organisation by providing solutions that make business processes simpler throughtechnology.

You will have the opportunity as a Senior BI Developer to have input into the long term data strategy of the business and drive the data landscape.

There's a huge emphasis on new technologies and you will play a part in the future technical estate in this business.

This is a split role providing support and ongoing maintenance to a large & complex legacy data processing environment, primarily MS-SQL based but also working as part of the team implementing a new cloud data integration and data analytics environment to replacelegacy on-premise systems.

The role involves both production support in response to data issues, pro-active improvement of legacy data processes, and new development of next gen cloud-based data environment.


SALARY:
£70,000 - £85,000.


LOCATION:
Bedfordshire
- flexible hybrid working pattern.


PACKAGE:

up to 20% bonus (taking salary up to £100,000+), 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension contribution, private healthcare & more.

The below details what you will have exposure to when you join yet not all of these are needed to apply:

  • Strong on-prem MS SQL Server experience
  • Very strong TSQL experience specifically in large batch process use cases
  • Experience working with large databases, transactional datasets, and data warehouses with batch data processing jobs
  • Understanding SQL executions plans and performance optimizing queries and batch jobs
You will also have the opportunity to work with next generation cloud technologies including Snowflake, DBT and Boomi.
