Description

The Trust's Learning & Development Department provides a wide variety of activities and programmes covering the five key themes of Essential Training, Skills for Work & Life, Therapeutic Skills, Recovery and Leadership and Management Development.

The Department is split across two sites - Duncan Macmillan House, Mapperley and The Mike Harris Centre, Rampton Hospital.

To develop and deliver a range of moving and handling, and patient handling training for staff across the Trust.

This will include face tofacetrainingdeliveryto individuals and groups of staff across a variety of settings as well as virtual training and e-learningdevelopment.

Training will be aimed at bothinitial training for staff on induction programmes as well as timely refresher training for existing staff.


In addition to providing staff training the role will also include providing advice and guidance to staff on personal back care, moving and handling and patient handling issues.

The position will be based at Duncan MacMillan House, Nottingham, but will involve delivering training at a variety of locations around the Trust

For the Moving & Handling Associate Trainer (Band 4) post we are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a willingness to work towards both a recognised teaching qualification and a qualification in back care in order to be eligible to progress into a Band 5 Moving & Handling Trainer post


For the Moving and Handling Trainer post (Band 5) post we are seeking an experienced trainer with a good understanding of moving and handling and patient handling techniques and who possess both a recognised teaching qualification and a qualification in back care.
