HGV Shunter Driver

Working as part of a team on a permanent day shift (06:00 - 18:00) from Monday to Friday, responsible for the checking of vehicles and trailers before presenting them for loading.

A strong focus on Health & Safety with a commitment to ensure that safe working practices are followed.

Responsibilities:_
Adhering to all safe working practices to ensure a continued safe work environment in a busy logistics yard;
Liaising with section leaders, transport manager to ensure smooth and timely loading of trailers;
Class 1 shunting moving trailers on and off bays and around site using a Kalmar shunt unit.
Recording of all trailer movements on the electronic device provided
Requirements:_
Previous Terberg shunt unit experience is desirable but training will be provided;
Class 1, 2 or category D driving licence or equivalent; full training will be provided

Commitment to Health & Safety

Due to the location of the site we are not accessible by public transport and therefore own transport is essential.

£38,000.00-£42,500.00 per year
