The Shack Revolution_ is an urban, industrial wedding and event venue in _
Hereford City Centre_. We're a small business, with a big personality and a heap of ambition for the future.

The venue started as a bustling pizza and cocktail restaurant, much loved by the locals.

Over the last few years, we've made substantial changes and invested time and money into creating a beautiful, alternative wedding venue in _
Bastion Mews_, an up-and-coming corner of _
Hereford_.

We have big plans to continue growing and are extremely excited to recruit for a brand-new role within our small but mighty team.

Duties and Responsibilities

The _
Sales and Marketing Assistant_ will help to increase brand awareness with our target audience, through various marketing channels while converting awareness into active leads.

The role is varied and although primarily a marketing assistant, there will also be an element of sales administration to help the department reach the next level of growth.

We need someone creative, a communicator who has strong organisation skills.


Social Media

Social Media plays a vital role in brand awareness and direct sales for _
The Shack Revolution_ and its sister event, _
Bastion Street Feast.

_

It will be the duty of the _
Sales and Marketing Assistant_ to schedule posts, stories and reels. Daily management of comments, tagged content and direct messages is also required.

We encourage creative, strategic input, and are hoping to attract someone with get up and go, and a passion to enhance their social media marketing skills.

We're looking for someone who has an understanding of how the platforms outlined below function.


Content Creation
We create all our content in-house and are dedicated to increasing our output in 2024.

The _
Sales and Marketing Assistant_ will create content for social media, the website, third-party websites and other digital and physical marketing materials.

An understanding of how to use various tools to achieve this is required - with guidance from brand guidelines and management.

• Signage
• Blog posts

Communications

The successful applicant will have strong communication skills, excellent writing and an understanding of marketing copy which will be developed over time with training.

• Email marketing
• Customer Journey touchpoints
• Wedding Platforms editing and updating
• Website editing and updating
• Initial inquiry stage communications with customers

Administration

The Shack Revolution_ is passionate about data and analytics to help shape the marketing strategy. Therefore, we use software to help collate this information, and part of the role will be to adhere to certain daily, weekly and monthly tasks to ensure we're capturing data effectively.

Events

The _
Sales and Marketing Assistant_ will work with the _
Wedding Bookings Co-ordinator_ and _
Operations Team_ to help organise and plan sales and marketing events.

Therefore, some weekend work will be required to ensure we're capturing social media content for live posting, as well as storing footage for future posts.

Reviews

Reviews are an incredibly important part of our sales and marketing strategy moving forward, and it will be the responsibility of the _
Sales and Marketing Assistant_ to collect, respond, store and utilise reviews on digital marketing and other marketing documents.

Skills
While this is a junior role, and we're keen to speak to those who are at the start of their career journey, we will need to see a demonstration of the following skills;


Necessary Skills:

• Demonstration of design and communications _(Canva or equivalent)_.
• Experience using social media for a business, organisation, or personal project.
• Engaged and positive personality, with a willingness to be one of the faces of The Shack Revolution online and at events.
• Keen interest in developing skills and knowledge in marketing, social media, and communications.
• A people person who can work as part of a small team, but also uses initiative to complete work independently.

Desired by not necessary:

• Photoshop / Illustrator.
