PQA Wells are look for an exceptional teaching assistant to join our team.

Brilliant, inspirational and energetic, you will instil your passion for education and performing arts into the hearts and minds of the young people who attend our academy.

Applicants should have an interest in performing arts as well as experience in working with children and young people aged 4-18.

You must have a strong work ethic and be willing to muck in wherever needed. We are looking for someone who is organised, a good communicator, hard working and able to use their initiative.

You need to be a strong team player, be approachable but yet assertive, and most of all possess a sense of humour.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Experience working with groups of children.
• Classroom management skills.
• An understanding of pastoral care.
• The ability to problem solve and think fast under pressure.
• Organisation and communication skills are essential.

Essential Qualities:

• Inspirational, kind and encouraging.
• Dynamic personality with heaps of confidence.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Fun/sense of humour.
• Genuine interest in performing arts.
• Evidence of continuing their professional development.
• Punctuality and professionalism is a must.

All staff are expected to take additional courses and skills training where necessary to remain at the top of their game.

Hours will be every Saturday during school term time from 9:15am - 1:15pm at the Pauline Quirke Academy in WELLS.

Staff are paid per session (not hourly).

An enhanced DBS on the update service will be required.
