Business Development Manager - Southeast Area
£35k - £40k OTE £55k + Car Allowance, Commission/Bonus & Benefits
Hi, I'm Kirk and I'm the Sales Director here at MCFT, I'm looking for a driven, results focussed BDM to join our team.
We have recently opened our office in Scotland,and this is an exciting time to join us, make a positive impact and be part of a successful team.
The location is field based predominantly covering East London, Kent and Essex but flexibility needed.
You will fit in well at MCFT, if you're able to work in a fast-paced environment, have strong attention to detail and enjoy working with people who have the same emphasis on delivering quality service and a desire to be the best at what you do.
We are looking for an ambitious, results-focused Business Development Manager who can take an outstanding proposition pitch to top-end customers and really make an impact.
That comes from looking to properly understand and align with our target customer's needs - and then requiring very high standards across everything we do.
You'll be selling our variety of services including Servicing, PPM, Reactive call outs and General repair and maintenance.As anyone will tell you, selling a service is very different to selling a product, you'll need to have the ability not only be personableand positive, but be able to recommend the value of our service v's our competitors.
You'll have a territory - and be expected to know every key prospect in that territory; you'll also have sector responsibilities - to know those moving up and those sliding down in particular industries.
- to open doors; telesales, appointment making (we have telesales support, but expect you to own the whole process), presenting and clinching deals.
You will be involved in key account deals - owning most, supported by Directors as needed - promotional activity - conferences, exhibitions, supplier events, networking (not many but key).
And you'll be part of the team setting the standard in our industry - for professional sales just as much as maintain commercial food equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining personal lead generation and prospecting activities to achieve appointment targets.
- Site surveys to collect information for quote generation.
- Developing new business including management of tenders.
- Liaising with field based operational colleagues gaining awareness of new opportunities and develop ongoing business.
- Achieve preagreed annual targets managed quarterly.
- Account management of existing key accounts.
- Aware of the market and periodically conduct research.
- Taking part in networking opportunities.
- Manage and complete sales reports on a weekly basis providing commentary and forecast information.
You will need
Proven sales track record in the B2B environment service sales environment
To produce a personal sales activity plan designed to achieve sales targets
To develop sales opportunities from a range of sources which will include cold calling through to working in partnership with 3rd parties
The ability to build strong, sustainable relationships and empathise and influence
A High level of tenacity, drive and motivation to deliver impressive results
Smart in appearance, credible, professional and a confident communicator
