This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our company, working to support the team of people responsible for the operations and cleaning of a

Biomass handling & storage facility on the Port of Tyne, as well as number of sites within the Industrial Services Division, Supports the senior management team in the development of risk management objectives, strategies and policies.

Duties will be carried in conjunction with the operations team.

A full UK driving licence is required and a vehicle will be provided.

The role briefly encompasses the following duties: - _**- Promote health and safety in the workplace and throughout the Division

Identify and help develop Divisional and site safety objectives and the measurement of these objectives
Carry out safety audits and site inspections
Ensure statutory registers are kept up to date (e.g. COSHH, Lifting, PPE, Ladders etc.)
Ensure all personnel carry out work activities within client led systems (e.g. permit to work, site rules, safety forums and hazard reporting)
Informing the Head of Operations on progress in all areas of Health and Safety
Supervise and review the implementation of the Health & Safety policy and management system
Identify health hand safety training and development needs
Liaise with customers, clients and any relevant bodies with regards to safetyrelated matters
Support the investigation of all accidents and incidents across the Division
Compile and distribute accident alerts and shared learning across the Division
Develop and deliver training sessions on a wide variety of topics

Previous experience in the role and industry
NEBOSH certificate as a minimum (preferably Diploma)
Experience in developing, implementing and monitoring proactive health and safety solutions and behavioural safety techniques
Demonstrating relevant operational awareness and experience you will have the ability to deliver professional presentations and communicate on all levels

Knowledge of environmental and quality management would be beneficial
