Technical Support Engineer (projects) - Permanent role - Hayes
Shorterm Group are working with an Aircraft Landing Gear maintenance facility who are recruiting a Technical Support Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis in Hayes, Heathrow

Shift:
Mon-Friday

  • To provide operational support in accordance with standard practices and procedures derived from approved sources for use within the organisation. This will include the development of new processes and procedures.
  • Ensure that all work in the company is in accordance with Airworthiness Directives, other safety information and manufacturer's service bulletins etc., in order to achieve correct product configuration control.
  • Assist in the development of new processes in NDT, Machine Shop, Metal treatment, Paint removal, Painting, and Plating shop as requested.
  • All other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements:


  • Degree Qualified (BEng),Aeronautical/Aerospace/Mechanical or Engineering/ HND will be considered
  • An additional language (German/French) would be useful, but not critical
  • Extensive (5+years) Aircraft experience desirable ideally within MRO environment, working with Aircraft Manuals and Approved Data and technically supporting the production environment
  • Experience of working with production control packages (MRP/ERP/SAP)
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Packages
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the aircraft publications arena
  • Experience of working within 3D CAD systems
  • Mandatory training will be required
