JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title:
Site Supervisor


Accountable to:
Patient Services


Key Relationships:
GP's, Patient Service Navigators, Clinicians, Patient Services Trainer, Patient Services Co-ordinators


Salary:
£22,212.91 per annum, pro rata


Job Summary:


The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and management of site staff, ensuring all functions are carried out in accordance with agreed procedures, protocols and time-scales, and reporting to the Patient Services Manager as necessary.

The post holder will also assume responsibility for the supervision of the fabric and facilities of the building.

This will include facilities management, equipment, maintenance, stock controls, ground works, security and overall operations, liaising with external contractors as required.


Key Duties/Responsibilities

  • Oversee and implement all requirements of reception services
  • Supervision of reception team
  • Induction and training of new staff to agreed standards
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels and produce rotas in line with agreed policy
  • Deal with more complex enquiries from patients and deputise for Patient Services Manager as complaints officer
  • Continually assess and evaluate systems, recommending changes and improvements to the Patient Services Manager as appropriate
  • Daily management and supervision of staff employed by external contractors, liaising as necessary with contracting firms
  • Ensuring standards of cleaning and hygiene throughout the building are maintained
  • Maintaining the room booking system for the site
  • Premises and carpark control and security
  • Ensuring maintenance of common equipment e.g. kitchen facilities
  • Ensuring appropriate stock levels are maintained in line with agreed policy
  • Fire marshal for the site
  • Delegated tasks as defined by manager with the responsibility for health and safety, infection control, estates management and quality
  • Provide absence cover for other sitesupervisors within LMP if necessary.

The post-holder will assist in promoting and maintaining their own and others' health, safety and security as defined in the Practice Health & Safety Policy, to include:

  • Using personal security systems within the workplace according to Practice guidelines
  • Identifying the risks involved in work activities and undertaking such activities in a way that manages those risks
  • Making effective use of training to update knowledge and skills
  • Using appropriate infection control procedures, maintaining work areas in a tidy and safe way and free from hazards
  • Reporting potential risks identified
  • Act as Chaperone when requested by clinician and in accordance with the Chaperone policy.
