EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant

Full-Time Position

Temporary position

3rd March st August 2023

A Kirkby-based Primary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support to an Early Years child in their learning journey.

This part-time role requires working each afternoon until July 2023, and is ideal forsomeone who is passionate about helping young children succeed.

Key responsibilities:

Work closely with the class teacher to plan and deliver effective learning support for the child;
Provide onetoone support to the child, both in and out of the classroom, to enable them to achieve their learning goals;
Monitor and assess the child's progress, providing feedback to the class teacher to inform future planning and support;
Assist with the preparation of resources and materials to support learning activities;
Encourage the child's independence and confidence, promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning.

Requirements:

Relevant experience working with young children, particularly in an Early Years setting;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues;
An understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and how it can be used to support children's learning and development;
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, supporting the class teacher and other staff members.
