Days currently - Mornings/ Afternoons in January

Days:
£21.04 per hour (First 12 weeks)

  • Rises to £21.52 (Umbrella)

Morning / Afters:
Up to £23.74 (Umbrella)
Hours per week: 37 hours per week.

Duration: 2.5 Years

Client Summary:


Working for Alstom - The UKs leading manufacturer and front line supplier of powertrain products and rolling stock based in the UK and Ireland.

Areas of expertise include Motor Overhaul, final Drive Overhaul and refurbishment of Jubilee Line Underground trains.

Position Summary:
Stripping engines within the Rail industry. You will be working in teams to breakdown mechanical systems on to locomotive parts and rebuild.

Roles can include:

  • Motor and component strip down components and rebuild.
  • Jubilee Line Refurbishment
  • Fitting newly refurbished engines and all components, service of the motor, radiators, pipe work, electrical looms and more.
  • Working from engineering drawings to replace and refit components.

Person Profile/Experience:

  • A strong mechanical background is required.
  • People from HGV / large engine's / rolling stock assembly / REME / automation etc. backgrounds ideal.
  • Understanding of engines / hydraulics / pneumatics in plant or heavy good ideal.
  • Good attitude and willing to work flexibly (overtime available)

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or similar in engineering)
