Telescope is a technically driven marketing & design agency, providing PIM & DAM software workflow solutions, enabling clients to improve their multi-channel brand marketing efficiency and effectiveness.

To build upon our unique positioning and success,we are looking for a technically focused senior person who will assume overall responsibility for promoting, managing & implementing our technical products and solutions to proactively help clients meet their business goals and achieve a tangible ROI.


The Head of Technology Solutions' role is to work with existing and new clients to understand their business needs, then work collaboratively to deliver successful deployment of our software services and solutions, particularly our PIM & DAM (HUB).


Working closely with the wider Telescope team, technical knowledge and client interaction is of the highest priority which will be reflected in your positive outlook and passion for developing long lasting relationships.


This is a senior role in the business, reporting to the Managing Director, with direct contact and responsibility for several blue-chip clients across B2B & B2C audiences.


Client Responsibilities

  • To manage and develop longterm relationships with clients that reply upon our software services for their success
  • To grow income opportunities with existing and potential clients
  • Upsell and crosssell client opportunities
  • Evaluate and analyse client needs, then scope and recommend best practice technical solutions, budgets and timescales
  • Project manage the implementation of solutions, calling upon other team members and thirdparty companies as required
  • Train clients and internal users on our software services, including creation of training videos and a 'knowledge base'
  • Ensure project deliverables are executed to a high standard, on time. Technical Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, scope and implement technical solutions to the high standards set by Telescope, to include the setup of new branded portals, amending existing portals and demo'ing test areas.
  • Management of users & permissions for specific modules within the software systems.
  • Migration of data and assets into the PIM & DAM solutions
  • Scope and recommend technical road mapping and strategic plans to enhance our products, then project manage implementation, working with thirdparty companies as necessary
  • Primary point of contact for technical support issues
  • Manage and maintain internal workflows standards, training and developing staff on technical solutions
  • Oversee companywide technical and IT operations, drawing upon internal and external resources as required
  • Develop and enhance technical understanding of software, systems and technology infrastructure
  • Project manage the migration from onpremise servers to MS cloud environment
  • Manage supplier technical support relationships to ensure our systems and processes are maintained to a high standard

Knowledge & Skills

  • Ideally 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Tech savvy with a BSc in IT, Software, Computing or similar
  • A high level of general technical knowledge and problem solving
  • A thorough understanding of data structure integration and an ability to manipulate data eg. CSV, Excel, XML & API feeds
  • Experience of B2B software solutions
  • Ability to present, explain and demonstrate technical solutions in a nontechnical language
  • A real hunger for problem solving in investigating & diagnosing potential issues
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to convey technical information in an easytounderstand manner
  • Clear communication and listening skills, with a friendly, personable manner Knowledge & Skills (not essential, but a benefit)
  • Experience of scripting languages ie Java, PHP, HTML, Ruby on Rails.
  • A good knowledge of Apple products and Adobe software.
  • Any related software development experience or knowledge.

  • Experience of using EasyCatalog or similar catalogue design workflow systems
