Tom's Guide's primary ambition is to help you leverage the latest products and services to achieve your ultimate goal.Tom's Guide is looking for a Home Cinema Editor to produce coverage for the TV hardware channel.
You'll work with the US Managing Editor to bring a vision for the channel to the team, creating a range of content.
What you'll be doing
As Home Cinema Editor you'll be writing news, features and reviews for the channel as well as overseeing, commissioning and managing work from freelance and staff writers.
There is an emphasis in this position on obtaining and writing reviews that will help enhance Tom's Guide's reputation in the industry and will therefore require you to cultivate relationships with major electronics manufacturers.
In addition to writing and editing content, you'll use social media to amplify this content to a wider audience and employ best practices to find the right readers via search, taking ownership of traffic results.
Experience that will put you ahead of the curve
- Indepth knowledge of TV and AV technology.
- Experience in a section editor role or similar on a website or magazine.
- A proven ability to work online and an understanding of the needs it brings.
- A working relationship with public relations professionals in the industry.
- Good understanding of SEO and analytics.
