Job Summary

  • Anord Mardix, a Flex company, are a global group that manufactures switchgear and associated products for installation in missioncritical and live commercial buildings ranging from data centres to the international headquarters of some of the world's largest companies.


To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a HR Operations Lead located in Blackburn.


Reporting to the Senior HR BP, the HR Operations Lead will be tasked with managing a team of HR Administrators whilst being the main point of contact for 2 of our busy production facilities (Blackburn & Walton Summit).

You will take ownership of various HR projects and help coach, mentor Managers across the business to allow them to manage and develop their teams more effectively.


What a typical day looks like:

  • Absence and Capability
  • Supporting and coaching managers through differing people challenges to ensure the best outcome is achieved. Oversight of 'long term' absences and attend and support care meetings as appropriate
  • Provide operational advice on a range of employment and performance issues and business change based on business needs, working in collaboration with the company HR Function and coaching managers in execution of people initiatives
  • Ensure new starter, leaver, salary and adhoc changes are on the HR database and other business systems
  • Support in Employee Relations activities including preparing meeting documentation and attending meetings as and when required
  • Investigate and resolve generalist type queries including recruitment, maintain and update policies/procedures, conduct exit interviews and HR Analytics
  • Maintain and analyse key HR data metrics, identifying key areas for improvement and using data to recommend strategic changes
  • Training Needs Analysis
  • Support the development agenda by helping to identify key opportunities that would help drive growth, looking at the development needs recognised within the performance management process
  • Conduct training sessions on key HR topics
  • Documentation writing staff handbooks, contracts, staff memos, and issuing written offers of employment, promotion etc.
  • Work closely with company lawyers and advisors where necessary
  • Maintains employee benefits programs
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
  • Preferably CIPD level 5 qualified / working towards, or with a minimum of 5 years HR experience
  • Previous experience in a similar generalist HR role at Advisory/Officer level with direct responsibility for providing first line support to managers and employees
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work simultaneously on multiple tasks in a fast
  • paced environment with impeccable attention to detail
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, confident in building collaborative relationships with HR, Management and Stakeholders at all levels
