Part Time Finance Manager - Film & TV (3 or 4 days a week)
Privately owned award winning visual effects studio are looking for a strong all round qualified Part Time Finance Manager.

Having experienced rapid growth in the past four years, the studio is looking to seek external investment for further expansion inthe UK market and globally.


You will be responsible in producing full monthly financial accounts, including reporting on the companies three sub-divisions, as well as many of the statutory financial reporting tasks within the team.

You will report to the Head of finance and COO aswell as overseeing a junior accountant who is responsible for the bookkeeping.

The studio is based in east London, but the finance team is mainly remote.


Key responsibilities:


  • Producing monthly financial accounts
  • Responsible for all balance sheet reconciliations and revenue reporting
  • Keeping detailed schedules and preparing files for management review and audit
  • Assisting the head of finance in the preparation of the monthly management reporting pack
  • Management of associated annual audit work, key contributor to audit fieldwork
  • Accounting for intercompany transactions
  • Preparing and submitting quarterly UK VAT returns
  • EXR tracking and advising on multicurrency project work
  • Detailed project reporting on the companies' subdivisions
  • Support in payroll accounting, including PSA & P11D reporting
  • ONS and other external reporting as needed
  • Support in debtor management and collections, including cash flow management
  • Assist internal reporting from project management data
  • Oversee the bookkeeping including occasional cover for some duties
  • Supporting the roll out of new finance processes across the business

Experience and skills:


  • Fully qualified accountant
  • Experience in statutory accounts preparation & management accounting
  • Strong technical knowledge with clear understanding of financial controls and compliance.
  • Experience in leading audit processes
  • Proficiency in Xero is desirable
  • Comfortable with working across multi
- currency transactions

  • Interest in working within and fast paced production studio, a good problem solver and great communicator.
