Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a leading Sheffield charity in the recruitment of a Gift in Kind Co-ordinator.

As an influential member of the Fundraising Team, you will lead in the creation of, and deliver, a detailed plan to increase and maximise high quality stock generation for the charity's retail chain whilst building strong relationships and partnerships across the City.


Using your strong negotiation skills, you will aim to convert one off gift in kind donors into repeat donors with a detailed stewardship plan, maximising the life time value of our supporters and continually generating income for their Retail Chain.


The balance of your energy and professionalism will mean that the programme of stock generation is well managed through your project plans, you will actively engage with current and prospective corporate and community supporters to raise the profile of the charity and generate high quality stock and gifts in kind.


Reporting to the Senior Fundraising Manager and working alongside the Retail Teams, you will lead all stock generating activity across the department.


Your enthusiasm, tenacity and understanding will allow you to champion stock donations internally and externally, providing exceptional stewardship to their donors and striving to deliver outstanding supporter experiences.

Key duties:


  • Lead in the creation of, and deliver, a detailed plan to increase and maximise high quality stock generation
  • Actively seek opportunities with Senior Fundraising Manager and senior retail team members to increase support and donations from corporate teams to generate further income.
  • Negotiate formal corporate partnerships which will enable a sustainable flow of new, returned and end of season stock.
  • Lead stock generation campaigns at a corporate level, and be an ambassador for stock generation at retail level
  • This role is responsible for building strong working relationships to ensure objectives are achieved effectively across the Income Generation Team.
  • Work alongside the Corporate Fundraising Team to form strong corporate partnerships and agreements with large distributers and suppliers for 'new stock' and donated stock to generate income
  • Work closely with the Retail Team to continually assess current needs and requirements for stock across the chain
  • Work with the Volunteering Team and their corporate volunteers to generate high quality stock from Corporate Volunteering Days
  • Work with key stakeholders internally and externally to create a sustainable stock generation culture.
  • Work with the Marketing & Communications Team to create strong key messages to influence high levels of stock generation
  • Identify opportunities to raise awareness to build strong stock packages
  • Lead and project manage all stock generation campaigns in line with the strategic objectives.
  • To be the key point of contact between Retail & Fundraising to ensure strategic objectives are met across Income Generation.
  • Convert one off stock donors into repeat donors and/or convert support into other income streams with a detailed stewardship plan, maximising the life time value of a supporter.

Required Experience:

Essential:

Experience of working to and achieving sales or fundraising targets

Experience of working with multiple stakeholders to deliver projects

Working knowledge of planning, project delivery and evaluation

Full driving licence and access to own car


Desirable:

Experience of fundraising ideally in one of the following disciplines: Corporate and/or Retail Income Generation

Experience in relationship development and delivering structured stewardship plans
