Hourly Paid Lecturer:


Grade:
HPL1, £48.53 per direct teaching hour.


This includes the following elements:
teaching, preparation and marking of the scheduled programme of work (Flat rate of £19.41 will be paid for completing one of the above elements of the schedule.)


The number of hours required and the days of the week may vary.

About the Role:


  • Contextual studies - A knowledge of the historical and contemporary context of production design in current industry practice to enhance teaching.
  • Production design and art department experience.
  • Digital skills - basic/ intermediate knowledge of 2d and 3D drawing, digital draughting and modelling.


You will work under the direction of the Academic Team Leader in delivering high quality teaching and learning to undergraduate and/or postgraduate students.

Duties will include preparation, delivery, and marking where required.

You will be expected to deliver lectures and run seminars and tutorials, taking responsibility for issuing feedback, guidance, and pastoral care.


You will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and can communicate ideas of a complex or technical nature to students effectively using a variety of teaching methods both face-to-face and online.

You should have a detailed knowledge of Production Design and/or Art Department through significant teaching, and/or industry experience.
