We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated Executive Assistant to provide high-quality support to Professor Deborah Gill, Head of Department NDCLS and Director of the Gene Medicine Research Group, Professor Steve Hyde.

Gene Medicine Group is a thriving research lab specialised in gene therapy for lung conditions, including the genetic diseases such as Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and surfactant deficiency.


This is a multifaceted role, offering varied and stimulating work providing the opportunity to hone your existing skills and develop new ones.

You will be the central point of contact for all external and internal visitors and this will require excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills.

Your role will also involve the development and review of pragmatic and appropriate local processes to ensure HR and Finance procedural compliance as well as to manage small projects (e.g. public engagement activities coordination and evaluation) as required. This role also involves a good understanding of university policies (e.g. immigration, financial control and postgraduate student administration).


Available immediately for an initial term of 18 months with further follow-on funding anticipated, this full-time post is based at the John Radcliffe Hospital, and the working pattern will allow for a blend of on-site working and working from home, as agreed.


Wednesday 08 March at 12 noon and interviews are expected to take place from Friday 17 March.
